There’s a little word image that does the rounds on IG. ”Black. White. Leather. Denim. Gold.” It pretty much sums up our default approach to dressing, both on and off-duty. As girls of a less is definitely more mantra of keeping it uncomplicated, but awesome, at all times - shooting the latest campaign for kindred human / designer Jerri Jones, was a no brainer.
As a doyenne of chic minimalism (as far as all things leather goes), Jerri creates those kind of meaningful, investment pieces you buy once, then live in. Then wonder what you wore before. Flawless in their simplicity and unique detail (choose your own hardware anyone?), the label’s natural habitat of Melbourne proved the perfect backdrop and shoot playground, a few weeks back. The city turning on one of those classic Autumnal days - perfect for leather - crisp with plenty of sunshine.
With Melbourne as our muse, and a collection of pieces channelling that elusive, sexy mix of grunge meets a little glamour, its iconic laneways and streetscapes beckoned, mirroring our own vibes, as we caught the in-between moments, on and off-duty.
Come behind the scenes with us below, exploring both the collection - and the streets it calls home.
